We love making our homemade mayonnaise using real avocado. This recipe has a smooth, creamy texture with a rich, buttery taste. It adds a delicious twist to our favorite sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

    Ingredients Needed

The ingredients we need are pretty basic.

    • Avocado - Ripe hass avocado with a creamy and smooth texture gives the best result for a mayonnaise recipe.
    • Avocado Oil - Adds creaminess and texture.
    • Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice - This adds flavor, it has natural preservatives, and the natural acidity of the juice keeps the avocado fresh, preventing it from becoming too heavy or cloying.
    • Seasonings - My go-to seasoning for this easy Avocado Mayo are salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. You can add your favorite herbs and spices of your choice.

    Instructions

    1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
    2. Squeeze fresh lemon, drizzle avocado oil, and sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
    3. Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add water and continue blending until you get the desired consistency.
    4. Taste test and adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
    5. Transfer the avocado mayo to a container. Enjoy!
